Rylee Cyr

Rylee manages the schedule for facility use here at the Cloquet Forestry Center. She handles all of the ins and outs of setting up your class, meeting, or event here. 

She is also the Communications Coordinator for events put on by the Cloquet Forestry Center. In this role she manages the media outreach for those events, and updates and manages the social media profiles for the forestry center. 

Rylee has a varied background in her work life. She spent a few years working in insurance which gave her some good opportunities, but wasn't something she loved to do. After taking some time off she realized that she truly enjoyed working outdoors. She landed a great job with a non-profit, Friends of Sax-Zim Bog, and spent a few winters meeting people from all around the world who came to see all the special boreal plant and animal species the bog has to offer. During this time she also discovered her love for talking with people, hearing their stories, and making connections. During the summer Rylee got the amazing opportunity to work for her favorite State Park, McCarthy Beach. She became the park ranger there and spent the summers outside talking with people and enjoying the community within the parks. In her free time she likes to read or listen to a good book, garden, draw, or enjoy a nice calming walk outside.
