The University of Minnesota Extension Service

The Minnesota Forestry Association
MFA serves Minnesota's woodland owners by promoting stewardship of all forest resources. MFA is Minnesota's oldest conservation organization, founded in 1876 to promote wise stewardship of forest lands. MFA is an important partner in the Woodland Advisor program. The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources
Through the Minnesota Forest Stewardship Program, DNR provides financial support that makes Woodland Advisor classes possible. Local private woodland committees
Most local woodland committees are chapters of MFA. These committees play a crucial role in the Woodland Advisor program by identifying local information needs, finding excellent local instructors, and helping to plan classes.
