If a forester wants to develop a management plan for forest land, one of the first steps is to determine the management objectives. To help in this process, a forester takes an inventory of the land. The inventory describes the characteristics of the land and the quantity and quality of trees and other forest vegetation. This is a 1/7-acre inventory plot, one of about 400 that have been established on the Center's forest. |
