These trees, on the final stop of the tour, were planted in 1985, following harvesting in the fall of 1984. The type of harvesting done is known as a reproduction cut, because it was the final cut of the trees at this site. About 60 cords* of pulpwood (wood to be used for products such as paper or oriented strand board) were cut from this site. *cord - a stack of logs measuring 4' x 4' x 8' |
